Empowering You to Thrive Through Counseling
Like many good things in life, Eastern Shore Counseling's new website is a work in progress! Our full site is under construction. In the meantime, here's the essential information you need to know about our practice. Our doors are open and we're ready to serve you.

Our Approach
Are you struggling as a caregiver in your family? Do your days seem like an endless stream of needs from children and increasingly dependent parents? Does the thought of setting boundaries fill you with anxiety? You may be able to cope with all these demands, but surviving is not the same as thriving. Denying your own needs can damage your mental, physical, and spiritual health.

I work with individuals and families in Baldwin County who are experiencing life transitions, codependency, and grief. I also have experience supporting individuals with high-functioning ADHD and ASD. I create a customized therapeutic treatment plan with each client, using an integrative approach to meet their personal needs.

Monica S Peterson
Counselor, MS, ALC
As an almost empty nester, I returned to school to earn my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. I understand how scary the first step toward counseling can feel, but I also know from personal experience that surrender can uncover untapped inner strength. It's this transcendent power of counseling that inspires me to pay it forward.
